Service Level Agreement
The SLA (Service Level Agreement) that would underpin the EFM service ordered through this promotion guarantees 99.96% with a 100% compensation matrix which equates to 1 days credit for every hour of downtime. A full SLA can be sent upon submission of a Pre-order form.
The EFM service includes a fully managed and configured Cisco router.
Customers are given 24/7 management and active monitoring of service with a guarantee to fix any problems on the CPE (router) within 4 hours.
Service level guarantees include 24/7 active monitoring of uptime, latency, bandwidth usage, jitter and packet loss.
Service performance statistics are accessible via a dedicated customer portal, which will be set up for you once you have accepted the terms and conditions of the EFM Service Provider.
How to Pre-Order
Firstly, submit a Pre-order form ensuring you select the CDR (speed) and term of contract you require. We will then quickly check that EFM can be delivered to your premises and send you an order form to sign and send direct to the EFM Service Provider. We will aim to send you the order form within 24 hours of submission of the Pre-order form.
Once your order has been received by the EFM service provider, you will be contacted by them and asked to open your account with them, via accepting their terms and conditions that will be sent you. Upon opening your account with the EFM Service Provider your communications will be direct with the EFM Service Provider who will advise you on the installation.
Service Delivery
Once you’ve made your mind up to go with EFM, you should bear in mind service will normally take a minimum of 30 working days to 70 working days to be delivered as a service.
You will then be requested to give access to an engineer who will install the Network Terminating Equipment (NTE) and commence the testing of the circuit before handing it over as being acceptable to the EFM Service provider.
Occasionally the desktop survey does not determine whether EFM can be delivered as a service, requiring there to be a site survey conducted by an engineer. Very occasionally, it is determined that additional engineering work is required to install new lines. If there is an additional cost involved, there will be an entitlement to cancel the order at no cost if the service provider has to change the charges they initially proposed.
Support and Billing
Once service has been handed over successfully and accepted by you, any operational or support requirements will be direct between you and the EFM service Provider.
Network Co-op will send you the Service Level Agreements and Customer Service contact details of the EFM service provider.
All issues relevant to service performance and invoicing are direct between you and the EFM service provider.
Upgrading During the Term
It is possible to upgrade your CDR for EFM. If you have a CDR which is less than the bearer size then it will take about 2 days for the circuit to be upgraded, but there will be a new price that you will need to accept by signing a new order.
Typically, it is best to go for the highest bandwidth you can afford and grow into the service, rather than having to upgrade during the term, as this will incur cost and take time to implement. The higher the speed you commit to, the lower the overall price per Mb/s per month, so there are clear benefits in committing to the highest level from day 1. If you are currently using a CDR which is the same as the bearer speed then typically an upgrade will take about 35 days to implement. You will need to sign for a new term for the new CDR.
IP addresses
With your EFM service, you will be allocated a limited number of IP addresses and a managed router.
The EFM Service Provider will provide you with a number of public IP addresses and because EFM is normally offered as a fully managed service, a router is installed at your site pre-configured for your needs. Typically an EFM service will entitle a customer to up to 8 IP addresses, with more available at additional cost and upon successful RIPE application.
