Ethernet over Fibre
Ethernet over Fibre gives businesses a scalable and upgradeable platform that can deliver guaranteed speeds of up to 1000mb/s. Ethernet over Fibre is ideal for businesses that need more guaranteed bandwidth than possible over EFM, and are looking to invest in a future proof network platform.
If your business requires dedicated bandwidth over 10 mb/s then Ethernet over fibre is the way to go. Whilst fibre is becoming more widely available in the UK, an Ethernet over fibre service is more likely to have additional set up costs compared to EFM, and higher prices per mb/s for speeds under 10mb/s. However for higher speeds, when compared to traditional SDH based leased lines, Ethernet over fibre is by far the most cost-effective solution.
